Boiler problems worth checking
Why is my boiler banging or knocking?
Noise can have several causes, including circulation problems, air, deposits or steam-system issues. Describe when it happens and your system type so I can assess it rather than assume a diagnosis.
Why is there water around the boiler?
A leaking connection, seal, relief valve or boiler component can cause water around the unit. The source needs to be identified before deciding between repair and replacement.
Why does the boiler keep switching on and off?
Controls, circulation, sizing and other system conditions can cause short cycling. A service visit checks the actual cause.
Does an older boiler automatically need replacement?
No. Condition, safety, repair cost, available parts and system performance guide that decision. Age is one factor.
Can I book returning oil maintenance after skipping service?
Tell me when it was last serviced and whether anything has changed. I will confirm whether the returning scope still fits or whether a more extensive assessment is needed.
For a gas smell or carbon-monoxide alarm, leave the building and call emergency services or your utility from outside. Do not wait for an online reply.
